EJACULANT DIARREA 2 is, unbelievable though it sounds, Part 2 of EJACULANT DIARREA 1.
It’s a show where a single voice breaks down, bulks out, shouts expletives and generally acts as though under the psychotropic influence of macrobiotic foods to outlandish limits.
A story about times and places where the aim is to transcend time and place without, obviously, achieving this. As far as we can.
An hour of unexistential cabaret where the only storyline is the failure and exhaustion of the audience.
Accompanied by Vidal Soler’s soundscapes and, once again, with production by Cristina Rigau, Roger Pelàez enters the outside, penetrating his own outlying areas in a death-defying somersault that usually ends up with his head firmly up his own backside. Yes, it’s also a contorsionism show. Yes, Roger Pelàez has a lot of life experience and accrued intelligence.
In truth, it’s a show where, while there’s nothing, there’s a bit of everything.
Tear-jerking poetry.
Pimpish apocalypse.
Comedy that gives you nothing to think about.
Roger Pelàez has been waiting many years for the moment when the idiots will take over the world, because he’s a major idiot and he’s convinced that, with a little luck, some piece or other of the world will fall to him. He sings, he draws, he studies the Talmud and he’s published comic books where he simplifies things to make life more manageable and digestible for people like him. Who have nothing, who are nothing and who aspire to nothing.
