Accessibility and Diversity Day "All inclusive | Museums and women in a vulnerable situation
We need accessible, egalitarian and inclusive museums. Museums that work from respect, participation and common space. To achieve this, a change of perspective is needed: listening, sharing and expressing the plurality of all people.
On this day we will listen to the diversity of voices of women in a situation of vulnerability: women who have suffered or are suffering from gender-based violence, migrant women, women linked to the practice of prostitution ... We will approach their (our) realities, for understand the challenges and needs, with the aim of reflecting on what role the museum can or should play in their lives.
We will have the participation of social organizations that work with the group of women in a situation of vulnerability as well as professionals in cultural management, art education, gender perspective and museum educational services.
A day to imagine an open, flexible, multiple museum and, above all, a museum where we are all included.
