Free from stigma
Mental health was the focus of the 20/21 season of Apropa Cultura
According to the WHO, 1 in 4 people will suffer from a lifelong mental health problem. Despite this high figure, these problems are still very unknown to society and full of prejudices and stigmas. For this reason, this season we are dedicating it to Mental Health, we want to highlight the need for cultural spaces to be free of stigma, prejudice and toxic labels. What we do? Throughout the season we are organizing projects, activities and training on Mental Health and Culture.
The 2020/21 season will focus on social organizations working with the Mental Health collective.
These are associations, foundations, services and social centers that face many challenges to improve the quality of life of people living with mental suffering. With the collaboration of social organizations and cultural facilities, we have designed a program of activities with the aim of giving visibility to the work they do of these social entities and how culture can help achieve a more inclusive society.
These activities are aimed at professionals in cultural and social facilities. In each activity we will create a group of people to share experiences related to mental health and culture.
